Through the peaceful murmur of Moonblessed gardening, there are two loud woofs and a startled - "Nisha!"
The large dog bounding across the parade route turned back, his tail wagging lightly, before he went back to playing. With a hand trowel in his mouth, it was clear that the dog had probably not been allowed to take it away. Yet, he's too far away from his owner - the only remnant of his owner is that voice - to even be reined back in.
Nisha instead seems to have a pep in his step, exploring curiously. The sunset-colored harness stood out from his fur, the leash dragging along the ground. Upon spotting Genji, just how strange he was (to Nisha himself, anyway) drew him in, padding over with confused perk of his ears and tilted head. The whine of confusion was muffled by the handle of the trowel in his mouth, but he seemed eager to sniff and try and figure out this strange new person anyway.

Nisha lowered his head, nosing and sniffing at the metallic hand offered to him - he barks, the noise muffled by what's in his mouth, though it quickly drops to the ground. He seems far more interested in Genji than making off like a bandit with his owner's tools.
There's clearly a human under there, after all - under the plastic and metal, but that wasn't quite right, either. It smelled like his owner's chair. He lightly chewed at the hand offered, not trying to actually inflict hurt with a bite, but trying to figure out what was "wrong" with the texture, or if this was a strange golem from a far-off land. Was it plastic all the way down? Metal? Was this a gauntlet of some kind? He tugged lightly as if trying to take off the glove.

"Need a hand?"
A robotic metal hand reaches out from Genji's periphary, handing him a spade. It's attached to a short, stocky man with an obvious southern accent. He grins through a dirty face as he kneels the rest of the way next to Genji.
If Genji asks, he'll be honest. The merc spotted him out of the corner of his eye, and he's pretty damn curious about his arm. Still, might as well introduce himself first.

Nisha let out a soft whine as he drew back, tilting his head this way and that curiously at the hand, though the chattering draws his attention again. Almost instantly, he ducks his head low and lets out a low growl.
Thankfully, it's just as a harried man comes up, looking a little peeved with his black hair all askew, face set in a frown and pursed lips, his hands gripping onto the armrests of his wheelchair. "Nisha, what are you doing?"
Ah, caught. The dog starts and then returns to his owner's side, for Belias to press a hand on his head and try to find the leash in the grass as he speaks to Genji. "My most sincere apologies for his bothering you. He doesn't usually run off like that...! If I may do anything -"
His own speech tapers off, actually meeting Genji's gaze and finding himself struck with both awe and confusion. "... to... help... er. Hello."

"Me too. I grew up on a ranch, though, so here's hopin' my muscle memory kicks in for both our sakes."
Engineer gives a light, wheezy chuckle at that as he gets himself comfortable on the ground. He glances up, briefly taking in more of the neon city surrounded by this peaceful little park, then looks back to Genji. The reverb isn't lost on him, either. Curious.
"Well."
Come on, Engie. You were going to tell the truth anyway.
"I'll be honest, I saw you from over there and I got curious about your set-up here," He says as he gestures towards Genji's chest. "Your armor. I figured the spade was a good excuse."
His smile turns wry.
"But I can help anyway."

Belias took the leash with both of his hands, still momentarily stunned. Nisha didn't like golems and moving machines, so the fact that he wasn't growling or seemed unnerved meant that there was human to him. He managed a smile, even if he seemed sheepish.
"I think we both share a similar curiosity..." His eyes flickered to Ramen before he gave a nod, and his smile turned more genuine. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Belias." He bowed his head lightly, the small gemstones hanging from his crown clinking against each other as he did so.

Being honest seemed to help. Engineer chuckles again as he reaches over for the seeds nearby. Genji may have temporarily set the planting aside, but the Texan could at least give them a head start.
"She is, huh."
Engineer could probably take a guess. Or, like, two to three guesses. He knew a few women here who might make armor like that. Anyway.
"No problem. I'm a mechanical engineer, so you got me curious. How's it work?"

"Huh."
It's only one word, but the engineer's tone gives it away. He's completely fascinated. He sets down the seeds, long enough to take a proper look at everything Genji's showing him. Especially that arm. Especially those shurikens.
He puts a hand on his chin and leans forward to get a closer (but still respectfully-distanced) look at Genji's inner workings. He's quiet for a moment, just studying it. Then, he abruptly slaps his knee and laughs excitedly.
"Good night Irene! If you don't mind my sayin', that's a work of goddamn art right there, yes sir."
Speaking of being extremely Texan.
And speaking of nerve mesh... he's pretty sure he can narrow down that guess now.
"I'm guessin' you're talkin' about Angela Ziegler now."

"Why would anyone show you contempt - ?"
The question is out of his mouth before he can really think on it, almost-black eyes full of concern. It's a second after that he realizes his question, and furthermore - remembers that even if he hasn't been on the receiving end of that sort of scorn, he knows someone dear to him that does. The guilt makes him wince. Ah. Right. Of course, people show contempt to those who are different... but still, he seems like a wonder, and those eyes make his heart skip a beat. He's hoping his ears only feel hot and aren't getting red.
"My apologies. I understand, though..." Belias found himself smiling as his shoulders relaxed. "Curiosity and awe is all I have for you. I assumed you weren't fully mechanical - Nisha gets a bit scared around golems and automatons... quite the traditionalist, this one." He looked to his dog with a cheeky glance, laughing a bit to himself. "I suppose - may I ask if you get cold due to the metal transmitting temperature?"

[ a shadow falls over genji, which reveals itself as a small young man stepping over one of the other rows with what looks like a watering can that's probably too big for him to be carrying comfortably by himself. at his side is a small fox with oddly-colored markings and a bell-collar, who immediately seats himself neatly at his master's side as the human stops, water sloshing a little in the can.
he offers a quick, warm smile, jostling the can in his arms before setting it down with a relieved little sigh. ]
Ah, hello. You've been working a while, so.. I wanted to come over and say hello and offer to water your work for you. [ he dips into a polite bow, then indicates the fox and himself. ] This is Konnosuke, and I'm the saniwa here. [ a beat. ] The only one that I'm aware of, at least. [ konnosuke dips his own chin politely, ears perking up. ] Hello!

How many of these free bonsai is she gunning for? She has an apartment that is meant to look quite natural so she's hoping for a number of them. Which means she's strategising and moving in and out in order to get more plants. Or which at least two are now sitting safely in her apartment.
It's back to getting down and dirty. With a shovel. It's a good thing she happens to really like gardening.
The sight of a fully armoured man with two katanas does not deter her as he so cheerfully approaches his task, and that is what she picks up on. Curiously, she leans over to see what he's up to now, her tools held close.
"You're quite resourceful." She may be indicating the other seedlings he's already planted.

Look, he's naturally curious person, but he sort of draws the line at sticking his fingers in machinery or pointy things. Workplace safety, all that.
"It's damn good design."
The Texan looks back up at Genji.
"Sure have. We've talked science a lot, swapped tech stories."and spit but that's another story "So she made this for ya?"
