It is a close game, admittedly, but Genji pulls out a slight win in the end - something he's more than positive is just any unfamiliarity Takame has with the tiles. He collects his winnings with a little whistle, and when the man comments, he laughs gently.
"I have spent too much time watching my father and uncles play this game." Although that was years ago, he'd managed to pick up some skill it seems.
He'll take a loss in stride so long as it was to a worthy opponent. He'd only ever played the game at the suggestion of others when he was pulled into the Gold Saucer by his more well off adventurers after a grueling job. He didn't have the free time to play otherwise, of course that was entirely his own doing. And he was more interested in the mission and the man before him than the game.
"Hm. I've learned to play but recently myself. Ah, but the tiles they use here are not familiar to me."
Genji, similarly, is more interested in the tournament and those trafficking the drug than the game. As such, after a moment he waves the man up with him, towards the bar.
"Well, I would be happy to play other games to help you familiarize. Maybe not ones with money on the line, though," he adds with a grin.
With a nod, Takame followed Genji to the bar once gestured to. In the back of his mind he did think it would be good to pick this up as a... "hobby" of sorts. He didn't have many of those.
"Perhaps I will take you up on that." said while inching closer to the other man. For those not privy to their mission, one would assume he was flirting with how close he got. He was not, but instead had a more important inquiry.
Genji would be happy to play the game with Takame outside of the mission. It made him feel like an old man, a little, but he still liked the idea. The question of what he's learned has him tilting his head, bird like, for a moment, and then he speaks as they wait for a chance at the drinks.
"While I can't vouch for seeing the drugs with my own eyes, I have spoken to several guards who have. It sounds like it can make a man into quite a danger if it doesn't kill him first," he answers back, tilting his head a little and fluttering his eyes as if answering a flirtatious question.
The drinks weren't interesting to him while he had the mission on his mind. He would partake only to keep up appearances. He was not one to hide his expression, there was no need as it rarely changed, but further confirmation of what they were briefed on did not bode well.
"It is as we were told, then." Said to himself, mostly. "And they seek to utilize such artificial strength for this... tournament." his voice is even, still close to a whisper. In his words was a hint of disgust, but not surprise.
LMFD nah you're good! <3

"You are nothing to sneeze at, either."

"Have you learned aught of interest?"
