[When the influence of the moon is this powerful it is only natural for one to seek those with whom one shares the closest relationships- out of concern, out of affection, out of, of... as a general rule, Zenyatta does not shy away from self-reflection. But in this particular instance, sat across from Genji as they attempt to meditate beneath the intoxicating light of Cordis and Iris alike, he is not sure if he is ready to follow where it will lead at this precise moment.
It had certainly been a shock to discover that Genji's moonblessing had been altered, though he seemed by and large to be taking it in his stride. It was not as if the change was an unpleasant one, Zenyatta supposed; with those great, soft ears and the little puff of white he now called a tail his student was, as he had instantly informed him, nothing short of adorable.
But then, perhaps that was part of the problem.
The chime of his orbs, already slowed to a crawl, finally trails off completely. The longer Zenyatta spends in his presence, even with a few feet of space between them and their minds supposedly on higher matters, the more uncomfortably aware he becomes of Genji's body and the furnace within it. The supple curves of him, rounded hips that beg to be gripped, a tidy waist that would seem all the lovelier arched, lovely-
So much for meditation. Before Zenyatta can rein himself back in he finds he's staring at Genji. Even if Genji were not familiar with the feeling of his master's optics upon him by now, the way his robotic ears have swivelled forward and his tail flicks restlessly behind him says it all. He is utterly transfixed.

Angela had been worried, too. But she's had relatively light Iris cycles herself, now and then, and she knows a few people who barely display any traits at all. Still, Genji hadn't shown signs of a single enlarged canine or sharper eyes— strange, but perhaps not a terrible advancement. Maybe they're just growing accustomed to the changes and they'll wane over time?
It's all she could offer him, and it was far from a scientific or confident answer. And it certainly didn't mean she expected him to arrive in the middle of the night, new moon casting the city in a quiet lavender, as if to soothe all frayed nerves of the previous moons. The sharp raps against the door alarm her, ears perking up where she'd been nearly asleep in her own bed, slipping from the duvet barely warmed by her body heat and padding barefoot through the flat to the door.
There's no peephole, but it didn't matter. She has little enough cause for worry, and opens the door still in one of her partners' henleys hanging off her shoulder, concern already between her brows.
The white of his armor almost goes unnoticed; the ears, however, and the look on his face, doesn't escape her even for a second.
"Genji...?" A hand is held out for him, tentative but immediate, seeking one of his or an embrace to invite him in. "Those ears... Are you all right?"

It only has her brows furrowing deeper, canting further, but he steps right in and she's quick to wrap her arms about him as he tucks in against her, one hand up to stroke over his hair and explore one of those soft ears folding back.
Sorry about the clothes, Genji. You can take it off her once she closes the door, promise.
She'll give him a moment to settle and relax, now that he's here.
"The traits are quite telling. Perhaps they're not concrete assignments...? If your demeanor has changed, for example, being around those you care about again. Luckily, you know a veteran."
It's a gentle tease, even as far as usual teasing went. She's trying to set him at ease.
"We'll figure out if it's affecting anyone else. For now, come inside. Let's be sure of what else may be going on."

PFFFT. Engineer rubs his shoulder and beams at Genji with a mildly shit-eating grin.
"Who knows? Maybe I got ulterior motives."
Spoilers: he doesn't.
Anyway. Shoulder properly rubbed, he leans against the wall this time, crossing his arms.
"Anyway... that's about all it is. A healing vapor." Made of a lot of weird shit, if Genji's curious. "Figured I oughta set up down here and see what kinda damage that big bastard up there's causin'. Doesn't hurt to hear people's first-hand experiences, either. I've met some big fellas, but he's sorta... suspiciously so, if you get my meanin'."
Said more quietly this time - just in case.

It’s about the level of engagement he expects, though 76 won’t be deterred that easily. There’s unfortunately no real first aid to offer, leaving him a little idle, but he’s nothing if not tenacious. Despite their differences, and the fact that 76 isn’t necessarily keen on doing this either, he knows he can’t ignore recent events, not when it’s going to affect more than just him.
So, he continues.
“Reyes is here.” He’s fairly positive that Genji has sussed that out for himself already, simply by nature of his —this is more about not giving anyone the opportunity to accuse him of hiding things. “Wanted to warn you, if you haven’t run into him yet.”

[Unfortunately for Genji those ears are one of the most wonderfully distracting parts of his new form, soft and white and leaving his every emotion so very much in evidence. What he would like to do is pet them, Zenyatta decides dreamily: first the swansdown velvet exterior, letting his fingertips feel the beat of his student's heart through the delicate skin, then down to the base for a gentle scratch.
(Some darker, more possessive voice urges him to wrap it around his cock and stroke the two of them to his own climax. He, with difficult, silences it.)
It becomes no easier to resist, though, when Genji shifts. The proximity is at once claustrophobic and intoxicating, but he realises very quickly that he would not want it any other way.]
Nor I, my student. [His own sigh is softer, though it must reverberate through Genji's body as he nestles in closer; before he can help himself he is unfurling his mudra in favour of lacing their fingers together on his knee, stroking the back of Genji's palm.] Perhaps it would be better if we- granted each other some space, during this time of the month.
[He sounds wholly unconvinced.]
... it would be a shame...

Of course Genji can adapt. Yoshimitsu expects the other ninja to do so. If there's one thing about Genji that Yoshimitsu likes, it's the fact that Genji is one of the few who can really contend with him. Unlike all the other competitors who've entered this ring, Genji is a solid match against the alleged first mechanical ninja. This is why there's a hint of genuine excitement in Yoshimitsu's overall demeanor despite the harshness of his strikes.
When Genji pivots to deflect his blade, Yoshimitsu does well not to lose his footing. Genji might not be able to match his strength but he's certainly nimbler. Yoshimitsu's movements are a little less fluid in this particular stance but the ancient ninja is determined to win.
"Quit your prancing!" Yoshimitsu growls as he charges forth with a quick series of slashes that Genji either better avoid or parry.

[Hanzo would argue that Genji is slightly less irritating on his nerves now compared to the first 24 hours of his transformation. And, unfortunately, the archer had gotten used to it.
He switches the spatula to his other hand so he can lift and arm and drop it around his brother. It's clear that he wants some attention or affection. Hanzo's not clear on the specifics, but he assumes it has something to do with the new moonblessing.]
You can help by not helping.
[He's joking, but since he's nearly finished anyway there's no harm in allowing Genji to put all his energy toward something productive.]
The green onions. [Hanzo points to the counter where he hadn't finished doing it because he had been distracted.] Chop them for me.

[It's good to know Genji doesn't mind his fursona.]
You are not right often, brother, but when you are, I hate it. [He manages a little smile to try to lighten the mood somewhat. Hanzo doesn't want to worry Genji more than he does already, so he simply nods.]
Very well. I suppose I do not necessarily need help to protect you and you are my primary concern.
